Hi, I’m Linda

Helping others has always been at the heart of who I am — as a mother, foster parent, and caregiver to my dad in his latter years.

For 28 years, I worked as a foster parent with the Children’s Aid Society in Toronto, Durham, and Kawartha. Part of my job was researching the biological backgrounds of the children in care and carefully documenting important life events. This work helped create meaningful Life Books for children moving on to adoption, preserving their histories and giving them a sense of identity and belonging.

Alongside my husband, Murray Greer, a professional photographer, and my daughter, Sabrina Greer, a bestselling author and book publisher, I developed strong skills in design and Photoshop while working behind the scenes in their creative worlds.

My true passion, however, has always been history. I’ve long been drawn to time-travel stories and historical dramas, and my father — whose parents were from Scotland — shared fascinating stories about our ancestors and their lives in their homeland. After his passing, I created a family tree in his honour. What began as a simple project soon turned into months of research, uncovering generations of ancestors reaching back to the 1200s. That work eventually blossomed into a book, published with my daughter’s help — and into a new calling.

Along the way, I connected with genealogists and other historians and became immersed in research communities such as Ancestry, FamilySearch, Newspapers.com, Fold3, and Find A Grave, to name just a few. I began creating family trees for relatives and friends, and before long, Your Page in Time was born.

I believe we are all curious about our roots at some point in our lives, but not everyone has the time or resources to dig into the past. That’s where I come in. With just some basic information — and a DNA test — I can uncover and preserve your family’s story in a beautifully designed family tree, created just for you and for generations to come.
